evoke Art Gallery is pleased to announce the new exhibition evoked at the root, featuring the mystical and complex monochromatic, abstract paintings by Italian artist Samanta Malavasi.
With a Master’s Degree in Painting from the Academy of Fine Art in Bologna, Italy, Samanta currently divides her time between Modena and Berlin. She is an innovative visual artist, known for her exploration of layered monochromatic structures, achieved through the imprinting of paint on various materials. Committed to constantly evolving her studio techniques, Samanta recently absolved a one month residency in China - an honour which she won at the 18th Arte Laguna Prize in Venice.
Samanta's artworks aim to portray interceptions of the common traces, pathways, experiences and journeys we, as human beings leave behind and carve for the future.
